Our Royal Presentation....
An invitation to attend the 2009 Sandringham Flower Show enabled us to stage a superb exhibit of Fragrant Sweet Peas and free flowering Fuchsias. It also enabled us to present our new Help for Heroes sweet pea mixture, formulated to enable us to help the charity for injured members of the
armed forces. We were honoured and delighted to be able to present a bouquet of these sweet peas to HRH the Duchess of Cornwall who accompanied HRH Prince of Wales. The Prince and Duchess are both sweet pea enthusiasts and the Prince commented that his sweet peas had done very well!
We felt our exhibit which included fuchsias for the first time was our best yet and this was confirmed when we learnt that we had been awarded the Large Gold Medal! During the day we enjoyed hearing from many visitors who had been growing our sweet peas and were pleased at the reports of success and how sweet pea fragrance is so important. We also chatted to many fuchsia enthusiasts and were impressed at the increasing demand for hardy fuchsias.

2009 Variety Trials
Our 2009 trials are our largest ever and are giving us a constant stream of information about the varieties we grow and the ones we will grow in the future. It also allows us to take the lovely pictures you see on our site
Space limits us to growing 120 different sweet peas but we make sure that we look at all the new and exciting varieties to make sure our 'list' is as strong as possible. This year we have new offerings from several breeders and some of them are sure to 'debut' soon in our range.
Our fuchsia trial has been huge and has featured over 270 varieties in just about every form and style imaginable. From these we choose the hundred or so that we grow on the nursery. It's likely that new varieties will feature very soon.
We've also trialled other species that we grow such as dahlias and chrysanthemums and a whole host of basket and patio plants, some of which we plan to offer soon online.
A business is really about people and between us we bring a vibrant blend of experience and new ideas to Simply Seeds & Plants
