What are Simply Seeds and Plants Terms & Conditions?
These can be found here.
When will my goods arrive?
This depends on what and when you order and the following is only a general guide covering the Spring. Plants for despatch at other times will be advised on the web site as available
In the growing season (from late February to May) we usually have stocks of most plant varieties and would expect to despatch your goods quite quickly - normally within 7-10 days. Seeds and other items will be sent at the same time. If we are out of stock of a variety and have to grow plants specially, this can take up to 28 days.
Outside the plant despatch season, seed and accessories are still available and we welcome your orders for prompt despatch. If you order these items and plants your order may arrive in more than one consignment.
EARLY ORDERING: You are also welcome to order plants at any time for spring despatch. This means that you will get your plants from the first batches that we grow (ready late February to early March), enabling you to make a flying start in the garden.
How will my order be delivered?
All plants will be delivered using Royal Mail First Class post to ensure that they arrive as swiftly as possible. We use specially designed protective packaging to minimise the risk of damage in transit. Our tests have shown that these methods enable our plants to arrive with you in excellent condition. Other items are despatched using second class or parcel post, depending on size.
Is there a delivery charge?
We add a modest charge as a contribution to our postage, packing and handling which is indicated at the checkout.
What do I do with my plants when I get them?
Open the package straight away and check that the plants are still moist. If they have dried out in transit, water and leave to stand overnight. Thereafter plant in your chosen place. Full instructions will be enclosed with your plants, and you may also find our Hints and Tips pages helpful.
What do I do if my plants do not arrive in good condition?
In the unlikely event of this happening it is important that you contact us straight away, preferably by email. Your satisfaction is very important to us and we will do all we can to rectify the situation without delay.
When are plants available and can I pre-order?
We grow our plants for despatch at the correct time for planting out, that is from mid February to May. During this time we expect to have good availability of most varieties. Outside the main spring despatch period we are still happy to accept orders for plants and will give these early orders priority once despatches commence. Seeds and other goods are available throughout the year for prompt despatch.
